Wasted Earth: Valor & Ruin

Hi all,

Just thought I'd let you know of a new project I'm working on in my spare time. Don't worry, I'm still working away on Book 6 of the Sundered Crown but sometimes I like to try new things.

In this case, I'm dabbling in the sci-fi genre with a post apocalyptic action story called Wasted Earth: Valor & Ruin. For this story you can come along for the ride as I'm writing it on Royal Road with new chapters being released regularly. Leave ratings, comment and other ideas as I go. Here's the blurb-

                                                          ---

In a world reduced to rubble, where the law of the land is survival of the fittest, Earth has become a desolate battleground. Human marauders, mutated creatures, predatory wildlife, and alien entities from the cosmos all vie for dominance, turning what was once a cradle of life into a theatre of death.

Amidst this chaos walks a man, Nathan Hale, weary of the relentless struggle for survival, for a morsel of food, for the mere glimpse of another sunrise.
Nathan harbors a vision far greater than his own survival—a vision of unity, of rallying the scattered, beleaguered survivors to reclaim the charred remains of their planet. His dream is bold, almost unfathomable: to stitch together the remnants of humanity, to rebuild from the ashes of despair, and to forge a future where people stand together against the onslaught of their otherworldly and mutated adversaries.

But Nathan's dream teeters on the edge of impossibility. He stands alone, devoid of allies, resources, or even a flicker of hope. The odds are overwhelmingly stacked against him, with every corner of the wasted Earth harboring threats both known and unimaginable. Yet, it is within this bleakness that Nathan's resolve is tested, and his true journey begins.

Navigating through treacherous territories, Nathan embarks on a quest not just for survival, but for unity. His path is fraught with challenges, each encounter with friend or foe shaping his understanding of what it truly means to lead, to hope, and to fight for a cause greater than oneself.

I hope you join me on Royal Road and check out the story. Oh, and the EPIC sale is still on so there's time to pick up some great indie sci-fi and fantasy books. In other news the EPIC Facebook group is so close to 1000 members, I'd love for you to join us there!

Warm regards,
Matthew
